Riot Games Announces Masters and VALORANT Champions 2022 Slot Rules

Riot Games has announced the rules for the distribution of slots for the two Masters and VALORANT Champions 2022 championships. In total, 12 teams will play at the Masters series championships, while 16 teams will perform at the Champions.

This year's Masters tournaments will feature the top 12 teams from the Challengers championships. Each region is guaranteed at least one seat, with larger regions receiving additional seats depending on the number of players and the success of teams at large events. In addition, the best teams in Latin America and Brazil will compete for second place before each Masters tournament, while South Asia and Oceania will have their way to the tournament through the APAC Playoffs.

Distribution of slots for tournaments of the Masters series:

• North America - 2.
• Brazil - 1.
• Brazil/Latin America - 1.
• Latin America - 1.
• EMEA (Europe, CIS and Turkey) - 3.
• Korea - 1.
• Japan - 1.
• South Asia + Oceania - 1.

VALORANT Champions 2022 will be the biggest event of the season, with entries based on the number of points earned during the season as well as the results of the Last Chance Qualifiers. In total, sixteen teams will take part in the tournament.

• North America - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• Brazil + Latin America - 1 (+2 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• EMEA (Europe, CIS and Turkey) - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• Korea + Japan - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
• South Asia + Oceania - 2 (+1 Last Chance Qualifiers).
