Details of the first qualifying round of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 presented

Riot Games has shared the details of the first qualifying round for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 for Europe, Turkey and the CIS. In particular, the organizers spoke about the format of the qualifications, the schedule, and also presented a list of invited teams to the closed part of the qualification.

As a reminder, the four best teams following the results of last season were previously invited to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers: Fnatic, ACEND, Gambit and Team Liquid. The remaining participating teams will be determined based on the results of two closed qualifiers in the following proportions: four from Europe, two from Turkey and two from the CIS.

Each closed qualifier will consist of eight teams. At the same time, the organizers issued four invitations for the first closed qualification in each region:

• Europe - G2 Esports, Team BDS, Alliance and TENSTAR.
• Turkey - Futbolist, BBL Esports, Fire Flux Esports and Zero Zone.
• CIS - One Breath Gaming, 5MOKES, Natus Vincere and KPI Gaming.

The remaining four teams will make it to the closed part of the qualifiers from the open qualifiers.

The second closed qualifiers will be held in the same format with the only difference that now the four best teams from the first closed qualifiers will receive invitations.

The open qualifiers will run from January 10-12, while the closed qualifiers will take place from January 13-16.
