After its first iteration in 2021, the VALORANT Oceania Tour will return in 2022, promising to provide more opportunities and paths for Oceania teams and players to compete internationally.
The VALORANT Oceania Tour will be split into two stages, culminating in the OCE Championship in September next year. Each stage will have a prize pool of AU $ 25,000 and prize points allocated to the top eight teams in separate stages. The points will determine which teams will compete in the OCE Championship, which will provide competitors with a prize pool of AU $ 30,000 and an invitation to the 2022 Asia-Pacific Last Chance Qualifiers.
The 2022 VALORANT Oceania Tour - Stage 1 will have three stages: Open Qualifiers, Group Stage and Regional Playoffs. Open qualifiers will be held from January 12 to 16, and the group stage will last two weeks - January 28-30 and February 4-6, respectively. The group stage seats will serve as the seed for the regional playoffs, which will run from February 10-20 over two weeks in a double eliminated format. The winning team of each regional playoff will represent Oceania at the 2022 Stage 1 Asia-Pacific Playoffs, where they will have a chance to compete for a spot in the Masters.
