Northwood University Blue became the champion of Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2022 - Eastern
Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2022 - Eastern has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from February 14 to March 22, 16 North American teams fought for a prize pool of $45,000, as well as three tickets to the Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2022 - Spring Championship. The winner of the tournament was the Northwood University Blue team, which outplayed the representatives of Stockton University with a score of 4:0 in the grand final.
The tournament for the future winner started with a confident performance in the regular stage, during which Northwood University Blue got thirteen victories, losing only to the University of Central Florida (1:3) and Seton Hall University (1:3). Nevertheless, the team from Michigan took the first place, thanks to which it made it to the playoffs of the competition.
Here, Northwood University Blue continued its confident run, cracking down on Valleyfield College (4:0) and St. Clair College (4:0) in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively. In the decisive match, the team confidently outplayed Stockton University (4:0), thus qualifying for the Collegiate Rocket League Spring 2022 - Spring Championship.
The third place in the championship went to the St. Clair College, which beat the University of Central Florida (4:1) in the decisive match for the Spring Championship slot.
