The release of Avengers: Endgame Encore late last month helped the original film reclaim its title as the highest-grossing movie of all time, overtaking James Cameron's Avatar once again. Plenty of MCU fans now expect Avengers: Doomsday to eventually take that crown for itself. Encore has only amplified interest in the upcoming premiere too, since the extended cut includes several new scenes setting up Doomsday.

The official synopsis of Avengers: Endgame describes beloved heroes from three distinct universes being set on a collision course, facing a threat unlike anything they've encountered before. The movie premieres December 18.
