Amazon’s God of War Casts Its Thor Actor

Amazon’s God of War TV show is continuing to expand its cast, and the actor for Thor’s role has been revealed.

Deadline reports Olafur Darri Olafsson (Severance, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) has been cast as Thor in the upcoming God of War TV show for Amazon Prime Video. This report was initially revealed by insider Daniel Richtman; however, now it’s official.

Olafur Darri Olafsson is the latest actor confirmed for the show after Max Parker, who will portray Heimdall, and Ryan Hurst and Teresa Parker, who were cast as Kratos and Sif, respectively. It is also curious Ryan Hurst voiced Thor in God of War: Ragnarok video game.

Amazon’s God of War is confirmed to be renewed for a second season. Frederick E.O. Toye (Shogun) will direct the first two episodes of season one. The production and release date remain unknown for now.
