God of War TV Series Actor Shares His Excitement Over the Role

This week, Amazon has shared a huge update on its God of War TV show by revealing Ryan Hurst will play the role of Kratos in the upcoming series. Moreover, it's also been confirmed Sif, Thor's wife, will appear and be played by Teresa Palmer.

Ryan Hurst is well-known for the role of Harry ‘Opie’ Winston in Sons of Anarchy, and God of War franchise gamers are getting exciting over this casting announcement—as well as the actor himself. On his Instagram post, Hurst gave his reaction to the announcement he will play Kratos in Amazon’s God of War, and you can check it below:

“Used to play as him. Now I get to be him. Grateful to pick up the axe, and honored by the fans who made this story legendary.”

Amazon’s God of War is confirmed to be renewed for a second season. Frederick E.O. Toye (Shogun) will direct the first two episodes of season one. The production and release date remain unknown for now.
