Amazon's God of War Series Gets Director and Renewal for Second Season

Amazon are officially working on a series based on God of War franchise; details are mostly unknown but we do know the show will adapt God of War (2018) and that means we will see Kratos and Atreus on small screens very soon.

Latest report from Deadline confirms show received it's director - Frederick E.O. Toye, who is known as director for The Boys, Fallout and Shogun. He will direct the first two episodes of God of War for Amazon Prime Video. Moreover, it's been confirmed the show is already been renewed for season 2 despite being unreleased yet; that potentially means first season will adapt God of War (2018) events and second season - the events of God of War: Ragnarok.

As for now we know that production of the show is underway and currently there is a casting for main and secondary roles. Release date for the show remains unconfirmed.
