Fnatic Part Ways with Gruby Following Difficult 2025 Season

Fnatic has officially announced the departure of Dawid "Gruby" Marciniak from its Rainbow Six Siege roster. The Polish player, who joined the organization on March 5, 2025, is leaving after a relatively short stint that included appearances at several key tournaments.

During his time with Fnatic, Gruby competed in the Malta Cyber Series: VIII, RE:L0:AD, the Belgium Masters 2025, and Europe and MENA League 2025 Stage 1. Despite the experience he brought to the team, his run with the orange roster has come to an early end.

Gruby’s Background and Competitive Experience

Prior to joining Fnatic, Gruby had a near two-year tenure with Team Secret, where he gained international exposure playing in top-tier events such as:

  • Six Invitational 2023
  • BLAST R6 Major Manchester
  • BLAST R6 Major Montreal
  • Six Invitational 2025

His track record made him a promising addition to Fnatic, but the results have not aligned with expectations.

Fnatic Faces Roster Uncertainty

Gruby’s departure means Fnatic has now parted ways with both of its 2025 signings. Jarkko "Jaksu" Rajala, the Finnish player who also joined earlier this year, is currently benched — leaving uncertainty around the future of the roster. It remains unclear whether Jaksu will return to the starting lineup or if Fnatic will seek fresh talent to fill the gap.

Troubling Performance Since European Shift

Since relocating its Rainbow Six Siege operations from Japan to Europe, Fnatic has struggled to gain traction in the region’s top competitive scene. Their only international showing so far, RE:L0:AD, was made possible through Fnatic’s status as an R6 Share 2025 Partner organization.

In regional play, the results have been underwhelming: the team has recorded just eight wins and nineteen losses, raising serious questions about the current trajectory of the project.

Fnatic has not yet shared plans for a replacement or any strategic roster moves. As the organization looks to bounce back from a disappointing run, all eyes will be on what comes next for one of esports’ most recognizable names.
