PJH Steps Down as DAMWON Gaming Assistant Head Coach
The South Korean esports organization DAMWON Gaming has announced changes to the Rainbow Six roster, saying goodbye to the second coach of PJH. Recall that the 27-year-old South Korean specialist has been working with the team since May, when he ended his playing career.
DAMWON Gaming contract with PJH coach has ended. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the PJH coach who showed all his passion and efforts from the very beginning of his stay at DAMWON Gaming until the end of the journey. We will support all future endeavors of the specialist.
PJH joined the DAMWON Gaming coaching staff last fall after retiring as a professional esports player. Together with him, the South Korean team managed to win the Asia-Pacific League 2022 - North Division - Stage 2, and also get into the top three at the Korean Open 2022 - Summer, Korean Open 2022 - Autumn and Japan Invitational - 2022.
However, according to the results of the season, the team did not receive a direct ticket to the Six Invitational 2023, which is why they were forced to go to the regional qualifiers. But even here, DAMWON Gaming failed to complete the task, taking only fourth place in the open qualifier.
This is not the first change in the composition of the South Korean club, which said goodbye to CATsang back in November. The last qualifying team played with PJH, which probably had a negative impact on the final result. Now the season for the team is officially over, while the organization will begin preparations for next year.
