Meet Denari – The New Defender

The highlight of Operation High Stakes is without a doubt Denari, Rainbow Six Siege X’s latest defender. His gadget combines elements of Aruni’s laser gates and Kapkan’s traps, creating an entirely new defensive mechanic that adds strategic depth and unpredictability to matches.

New Weapon: The Glaive-12 Shotgun

Alongside Denari comes the Glaive-12, a new slug shotgun. Designed for precision and heavy impact, this weapon adds more variety to Siege’s arsenal, giving operators new tactical options in close-quarters combat.

Map Updates and Reworks

Operation High Stakes also brings a round of modernization to three fan-favorite maps:

  • Lair
  • Nighthaven Labs
  • Consulate

These redesigned versions aim to improve gameplay flow, balance, and competitive viability while maintaining the identity of the originals.

Operator Balancing and Gameplay Changes

Ubisoft is rolling out significant operator adjustments this season, including:

  • Blackbeard nerf
  • Removal of magnifying scopes from automatic defender weapons
  • Removal of certain secondary shotguns

These changes are designed to enhance balance and limit exploitative playstyles.

Esports and Competitive Updates

The Esports tab has been refreshed with a cleaner look and improved functionality. Additionally, the Siege Cup will become a weekly event, keeping the competitive scene more active and engaging.

The Dual Front mode also gets updates:

  • A new assignment
  • A refreshed operator pool
  • Denari’s launch integrated directly into the mode

Security and Community Improvements

Operation High Stakes introduces R6 ShieldGuard along with new anti-toxicity measures, reinforcing Ubisoft’s commitment to player safety and fair play.

  • Test Server Launch: Monday, August 18, 2025
