DAMWON Gaming announces parting ways with CATsang
South Korean esports organization DAMWON Gaming has announced changes to its Rainbow Six roster, saying goodbye to CATsang. Recall that the 23-year-old South Korean player has represented the colors of the club since the team was founded in January 2021. It is reported that the club and the esportsman did not renew the contract for the next season.
We inform you that the contract between DAMWON Gaming and CATsang has ended. We are deeply grateful that we have managed to write a lot of unforgettable history together with the DAMWON Gaming team since its inception. We wish you a healthy trip and good luck in all your future endeavors.
CATsang joined DAMWON Gaming in early 2021 when the organization signed GC Busan Spear. Together with the team, the 23-year-old South Korean player became the champion of the Korean Open 2021 - Summer, APAC League 2021 Playoffs - Stage 2, APAC North 2022 - Stage 1, Korean Open 2022 - Spring and APAC North 2022 - Stage 2, and also got into the TOP- 3 at APAC League 2021 Playoffs - Stage 3, Six Sweden Major 2021 and Japan Invitational - 2022.
However, the end of the current season did not work out for the team, which was left without the final Major, scheduled for the end of November in Sweden. In addition, DAMWON Gaming did not score enough points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2023 directly. Now the South Korean team will have to play qualifiers, to which the club will start looking for a new player.
