Rumors: The M80 organization will buy out the XSET roster
According to the BLIX.GG portal, the Canadian esports organization M80 will buy out the XSET Rainbow Six team roster. It is noteworthy that the founder of the new club is Marco Mereu, the former co-founder of XSET. It is expected that the deal will take place before the start of the Six Invitational 2023 scheduled for February.
The current XSET roster was formed in March 2022. During the season, the Brazilian-American team managed to get into the top three at the end of the Six Berlin Major 2022, and also take fourth place in the North American League 2022 - Stage 1 and North American League 2022 - Stage 2. Despite the failure in the North American League 2022 - Stage 3, the team took the season to its credit, given the instability of other teams in the North American region.
According to the results of the season, the team managed to get a direct ticket to the Six Invitational 2023, finishing seventh on the leaderboard. According to a source, the transfer of the squad will take place before the start of the championship in Canada. It is unclear whether Brazilian coach Budega, who received a 12-month ban in May for making unflattering remarks about opponents, will join the new organization.
This may not be the only deal between the two organizations, as the Rocket League team will also reportedly be moving under the wing of M80.
A little earlier, Canadian esports organization M80 also unveiled its first VALORANT roster.
