Former XSET co-owner unveils new VALORANT team
Canadian esports organization M80, founded by a former co-owner of XSET, has unveiled its first VALORANT roster. The North American team will strive to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: North America Stage 1 Challengers by participating in the upcoming qualifiers.
The main new team is koalanoob, NiSMO and johnqt, former Ghost Gaming players. Together they managed to win Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: March, Knights Gauntlet Circuit Monthly 2022: April and Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship, as well as get into the top three at Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 5 and Knights Arena Valorampage.
The next M80 newcomer was Zander. The 21-year-old Canadian spent last season with Version1, with which he took part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers.
The last member of the team was eeiu, a former NRG player. The young player spent two seasons here, winning Nerd Street Gamers - Monthly December, as well as getting into the TOP-3 following the results of VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 2, Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship and Knights Arena Valorampage.
The team will be trained by GUNTER, a British specialist who previously worked as an analyst at Ghost Gaming and Ghostbusters.
The team is currently preparing for the start of the qualifiers for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: North America Stage 1 Challengers. The first tournament of the season will start in January.
