Rainbow Six surpasses 85 million players
Ubisoft has shared an insight into the rise of Rainbow Six with fans. Among other things, the tactical shooter managed to pass the 85 million player mark with an 18 percent year-on-year revenue growth.
The number of unique registered players in Rainbow Six has passed the 85 million mark, and there is still a very large number of players participating in the game daily, and the number of players is growing quarter by quarter. We are also seeing higher engagement from current players and are recording[averagedailyrevenueperuser]after a second consecutive quarter of very strong year-on-year growth. As a result, total net bookings increased significantly by 18% year-on-year.
Note that Rainbow Six passed the mark of 80 million players in February 2022 and 70 million players in February 2021. The company expects to increase the number of registered users to 100 million players by 2024.
The company also revealed that there has been a lot of focus on reducing the number of players on Steam, with active player averages last seen five years ago.
In its report, the company announced the successful test launch of Rainbow Six Mobile. Over 250,000 players have taken part in the closed beta, and that's just on the Android platform. Next, developers will implement beta testing on devices running iOS.
