New Operative

Rainbow Six Siege will feature a new operator called Grim. In Operation Brutal Swarm, o will play a key role and add to the range of characters available to play in R6. His abilities and weapons will be aimed at a quick sweep.

Grim will either use the 552 Commando assault rifle (similar to the SG 552 Commando in real life) as their main weapon or the SG-CQB shotgun. The P229 pistol will serve as a secondary weapon. According to the infographics, Grim's survivability is at a minimum level, but his movement speed remains to be envied - the new operative has the maximum.

As for his gadgets, Grim carries three demolition charges and two Claymore mines. His main ultimate gadget is the Kawan Hive launcher. Unlike conventional rocket launchers, his brainchild shoots canisters filled with thousands of robotic bees. The latter will pounce on any operator they are launched into or who passes by them when the bees are released. Grim will have five canisters that he can shoot.

New map

In Rainbow Six Siege, along with the new operation, there will be a new stadium Bravo map. Ubisoft has always stuck to the idea of releasing a new map for each new Six Invitational themed operation. This time, users will be able to try their hand at the Stadium Bravo map. Notably, this is essentially a fallback for Ubisoft. The first map that the development studio was going to release is not yet ready.

Changing weapon recoil

The game has been rebalanced. Ubisoft creative director Alexander Karpazis has announced that the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege operation is a season of balance.

On PC and consoles, the recoil of weapons has been somewhat modified, as on PC users mostly use a mouse and keyboard, and console gamers play on gamepads.

Now the recoil of the weapon will change depending on how users hold the trigger of the weapon, how long the shooting is, what weapons are used, and so on. Recoil has been corrected both horizontally and vertically.

New EMP grenade

As part of Operation Brutal Swarm, Rainbow Six Siege has a new EMP impact grenade. It is similar to the grenade that operative Thatcher has. The new EMP grenade has a reduced radius and reduced EMP effect, but still does the job well.

The new grenade disables the gadgets of operatives who are two meters from the grenade. EMP lasts nine seconds, and nine selected operators will be able to use the new gadget: Sledge, Montagne, Lion, Gridlock, Osa, Blackbeard, Dokkaebi, Nokk and Recruit.

Updated Rook

Ubisoft has updated the ability of the Rook Operator. Now allies (and not only) who managed to pick up the Rook armor, when falling, will be able to switch to the self-rising mode to their feet if they are in a deadly state. They will enter this mode when they take lethal damage, unless their opponents are headshotting.

Updated Dokkaebi Ability

Operative Dokkaebi has received a modified ability, thanks to which users playing on this character will receive an additional advantage in combat. Previously, the Logic Bomb ability worked on any enemies, whether they were alive or not. Now, dead operatives will not be able to answer the call of Dokkaebi, and with her ultimate ability, only those players who are still alive will stand out on the map.

According to Ubisoft, players at higher ranks will feel the difference between the old and new use of this skill the most.

New mappool system

In competitive mode, the stage of the ban and the selection of cards has been changed. Now not three cards will be available in the map pool, but five at once. However, teams can only send one card to the ban.

Battle Pass Owner Discounts

Ubisoft will give an extra incentive to those who want to buy the Battle Pass for this season. All Battle Pass owners will receive a 10% store discount. Discounts will affect both purchases for regular tokens and for coins of glory.

In addition, users will be able to arrange such a gift for their friends and purchase a battle pass that can be given as a gift. Two conditions for the implementation of such a gift: the same platform used by the user and his friend, for whom the purchase of the gift will be made, as well as at least 90 days of friendship on this platform.
