Let the Battle Begin: LetsPlay.Live Extends Thrilling Partnership with KRAFTON for PUBG Asia Super Cup Winter 2024!
LetsPlay.Live, the organizer and broadcaster of oceanic esports tournaments, has revealed the extension of its partnership with South Korean game publisher KRAFTON. This collaboration will encompass the broadcasting of the upcoming 2024 edition of the PUBG Asia Super Cup Winter.
Scheduled to unfold from January 16th to February 4th, the PUBG Asia Super Cup Winter will showcase the talents of 24 teams from various regions, vying for a slice of the event's substantial $100,000 (~£79,169) prize pool. The initial stages of the competition are set to occur from January 16th to 18th, followed by the last chance qualifiers on January 20th and 21st. The pinnacle of the event, the Grand Finals, is slated to kick off on January 31st and culminate on February 4th.
LetsPlay.Live boasts a wealth of experience in orchestrating esports tournaments across multiple gaming titles. Beyond its partnership with KRAFTON, the company has successfully collaborated with industry giants such as Riot Games for the VALORANT Challengers Oceania circuit and Supercell for the 2023 Clash Royale World Tour.
For KRAFTON, the 2024 PUBG Asia Super Cup Winter marks the second occasion where it aligns forces with LetsPlay.Live. In a previous venture, the publisher joined hands with the company in September 2023 to host the PUBG Challenger Rumble Season 2, a regional competition offering teams from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region an avenue to qualify for global tournaments.
Despite the evolving landscape of esports, PUBG maintains its prominence in the battle royale genre. As a testament to its commitment to esports, PUBG Corporation announced the expansion of its esports partner program to accommodate ten teams in the 2024 season. Furthermore, it was revealed that PUBG Mobile, the mobile variant of the game, is set to host this year's Global Championship in the United Kingdom.
Expressing his sentiments on the continued collaboration, Duane Muto, the Managing Director of LetsPlay.Live, stated, “We have worked with KRAFTON for a number of years now and are always honored that it trusts Letsplay.Live with its brand. The PUBG Asia Super Cup Summer 2023 was phenomenal, and we can’t wait to see what the best of Asia will bring to the table for Winter 2024.”
