Rumor: Overwatch 2 Leak Reveals Possible Gundam Wing Crossover Skins

A new Overwatch 2 leak suggests that Mercy, Ramattra, Reaper, and Soldier: 76 will be the heroes receiving Gundam Wing-themed skins in the upcoming collaboration. Season 16 of Overwatch 2 launched on April 22, introducing a wealth of content—ranging from balance changes and perk updates to the long-awaited Gundam Wing crossover.

This season also debuts Freja, the game’s 43rd playable hero, designed for players who excel in positioning and ranged combat. Alongside Freja, the update adds Stadium mode, a 5v5, best-of-seven format with purchasable items and upgradable powers, and introduces hero bans in Competitive Play—a much-requested feature from the community.

The highly anticipated Gundam Wing crossover is one of Season 16’s biggest highlights, and according to Twitter user @wiki_ow, four Overwatch heroes are set to receive skins based on characters from the iconic mecha anime:

Despite the excitement, several fans expressed disappointment over the apparent absence of characters like Pharah, Echo, and Mauga, who many felt were natural fits for Gundam-style skins—especially a potential Heavyarms variant.
