All Powers and Items in Overwatch 2’s New Stadium Mode Revealed
Overwatch 2 has unveiled the full lineup of Powers and Items for its upcoming Stadium game mode. With hundreds of customization options spanning all 17 heroes available at launch, each Stadium match promises a unique and strategic experience for players eager to craft the ultimate loadout on their path to victory.
What Is Stadium Mode in Overwatch 2?
Stadium is a brand-new game mode debuting in Season 16 of Overwatch 2. Launching with 17 heroes and nine unique maps, this best-of-seven showdown pits players against each other in high-stakes rounds. Before each round begins, competitors visit the Armory, where they can spend in-game currency to acquire Items and select Powers that dramatically alter their heroes’ abilities and playstyles.
Blizzard shared an extensive infographic ahead of the mode’s release, offering a detailed breakdown of the Items and Powers available to each hero. While more characters and maps are expected in the future—and some Powers may be rotated out—this initial reveal provides crucial insights for players aiming to maximize their hero’s effectiveness from day one.
Items in Stadium Mode
Items are purchasable with Stadium Cash, a currency earned passively each round, by defeating Bounty targets, or by selling previously acquired Items. They come in three rarities:
- Common
- Rare
- Epic
Each higher rarity tier delivers stronger effects but comes at a higher cost.
Items are also categorized by function:
- Weapon Items – Enhance primary and secondary fire.
- Ability Items – Boost hero-specific skills and utilities.
- Survival Items – Improve survivability and sustainability in combat.
While many Items offer general upgrades applicable to multiple heroes, each character also has a selection of exclusive Items tailored to their unique mechanics and abilities.

Powers in Stadium Mode
Unlike Items, Powers are free upgrades chosen at the start of rounds 1, 3, 5, and 7. Once picked, they cannot be changed, making strategic planning essential.
These Powers significantly alter how heroes function. Examples include:
- Ana: Our Turn – Grants AoE Nano Boost.
- Reinhardt: Magma Strike – Leaves lava trails after using Fire Strike.
- Ashe: B.O.B. Junior – Summons a smaller B.O.B. at half the Ultimate cost.
These game-changing enhancements introduce creative ways to redefine hero roles and strategies mid-match.
Stadium Launch Hero Roster
At launch, Stadium mode includes the following heroes, divided into their traditional roles:
Tank Heroes:
- D.Va
- Junker Queen
- Orisa
- Reinhardt
- Zarya
Damage Heroes:
- Ashe
- Cassidy
- Genji
- Mei
- Reaper
- Soldier: 76
Support Heroes:
- Ana
- Juno
- Kiriko
- Lucio
- Mercy
- Moira
Missing Survival Items for Orisa
Interestingly, the infographic released by Blizzard mistakenly listed D.Va’s Survival Items under Orisa, omitting the correct set entirely. Unless an updated version is shared before launch, Orisa mains may need to wait until April 22, when the Stadium mode officially goes live, to discover her defensive upgrade options.
