Overwatch 2 Fan Unveils Epic Teen Titans Crossover Concept Featuring Genji as Slade and More!
An Overwatch 2 fan has shared an exciting concept for a potential Teen Titans crossover, featuring skins for popular heroes like Genji, Illari, and more. Overwatch 2 has already ventured into multiple collaborations, but this idea could be one of the best uses of DC Comics' iconic characters.
In recent years, gaming crossovers have become a huge trend, keeping players hooked with fresh content in games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Minecraft. While the original Overwatch was a massive success, its most notable crossover skin outside of Blizzard's universe was LEGO Bastion. Overwatch 2, however, has embraced collaborations more fully, starting with One-Punch Man and expanding to partnerships with Porsche, My Hero Academia, and Transformers. These collaborations allow players to take on the battlefield as characters like All Might, Optimus Prime, or a D.Va mech inspired by the Porsche Macan Turbo. Now, one fan is envisioning a Teen Titans crossover that could bring the DC universe to Overwatch 2.
Reddit user PaperMacheteMisfit recently shared their concept art for a Teen Titans/Overwatch 2 collaboration. The proposed crossover features Genji as Slade (also known as Deathstroke), Illari as Starfire, Moira as Raven, Sojourn as Cyborg, and Venture as Terra. The skins for Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire particularly stand out, as they reflect the characters' unique superhero abilities in their designs, while Genji and Venture seem perfectly suited for their roles. Slade, the primary antagonist of the 2003 Teen Titans series, is the only villain in the concept so far.
How Teen Titans Could Fit into Overwatch 2
In addition to these skin ideas, PaperMacheteMisfit has teased further work on additional skins, including Junkrat as Beast Boy, Pharah as Blackfire, Ramattra as Trigon, and Soldier 76 as both Robin and Nightwing. Although Overwatch 2 has yet to feature any DC heroes, a Teen Titans collaboration seems plausible given DC Comics' track record with crossovers. Games like Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and the LEGO Batman series have explored the concept fully, while Fortnite has incorporated Teen Titans characters like Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire, as well as other iconic figures such as Batman and Superman. Fortnite even introduced map elements inspired by DC comics, suggesting that Overwatch 2 could follow suit with map adjustments for a crossover event.
As Blizzard continues to evolve Overwatch 2 with regular updates, there's potential for many more collaborations in the future. Like Marvel, DC Comics is constantly exploring new crossover opportunities, and this Teen Titans idea could be the next big thing for fans of both franchises.
