Since its launch last year, Overwatch 2 has regularly added new heroes, including Canadian Sojourn with a railgun, Junker Queen with a scattergun, and Kiriko, who wields kunai and a healing talisman. Lifeweaver is the first male hero in Overwatch 2 that nobody expected. Other possible heroes have been leaked, but Lifeweaver was not one of them.

Not keeping up with Overwatch 2 news? The game is now free to play, and players can unlock new heroes through seasonal battle passes. Of course, you can also pay to unlock them faster. At launch, Wccftech's Ule Lopez asked about the game's economy but had no issues with the gameplay.

"If we focus on the core gameplay aspects of Overwatch 2, the game is 100% satisfying to me. I will definitely come back and play it a few times if I have some spare time. How the metagame will evolve in terms of the competitive scene or how players will perceive it after its launch? Well, we'll see the results when the game goes live."

Overwatch can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. Blizzard has not yet announced the launch date for the fourth season of Overwatch 2, but it is expected to begin early this month.
