Jecse retires from esports career
Jecse has announced his retirement from esports. The 22-year-old South Korean player announced this on his Twitter, adding that it was time to take a different path and build his personal life.
Thanks to the fans, I was able to fulfill my childhood dream. Looking back, we can say that every moment was precious. Even when I enjoyed the joy of victory or felt the bitterness of defeat, I gained invaluable experience.
It was the path I chose and I worked hard enough to leave no regrets. So now I want to leave in search of my own happiness.
Jecse appeared on the professional scene in 2016. The 22-year-old South Korean has changed clubs over five years, including the Seoul Dynasty, Houston Outlaws and Dallas Fuel.
Among the main achievements of Jecse are victories at SURGE 2017 and Overwatch League 2021 - May Melee, as well as getting into the top three in the Overwatch League - 2019 Stage 1 Playoffs, Overwatch League 2021 - June Joust, Overwatch League 2021 - Summer Showdown and Overwatch League 2021 - Playoffs.
