super announced his departure from the San Francisco Shock and ended his esports career
The North American esports organization NRG Esports, which owns the San Francisco Shock team, announced the parting with super, who decided to end his esports career. Recall that the 22-year-old American has been performing on the professional stage since 2016.
A true legend is retiring today. super has been a cornerstone of not only Shock, but the Overwatch esports scene as a whole. As of today, he will leave our competitive roster. Thank you for four incredible seasons.
super entered the scene six years ago, joining -bird noises-. In the fall of 2018, the 22-year-old American joined the San Francisco Shock, where he became a true legend of the discipline, winning many championships, including the Overwatch League - 2019 Stage 2 Playoffs, Overwatch League - 2019 Playoffs, Overwatch League 2020 - Countdown Cup and Overwatch League 2020 - Playoffs - Grand Finals.
The last tournament for super was the Overwatch League 2021 - Playoffs, following which the San Francisco Shock took fourth place and earned $250,000.
