Gillette are now the partners of ESL
One of the leading companies in production of shaving accessories Gillette signed a contract with ESL esports organization.
Their first mutual project is Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2017. Gillette will sponsor this event. The representative of Gillette in esports sphere is the owner of Origen team - Enrique «xPeke» Cedeño Martínez. Currently, there is no information whether Gillette will cooperate with ESL after the end of Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2017. However, it has been announced that xPeke will join the program of esports ambassadors of the company. Enrique «xPeke» Cedeño Martínez has been playing on the professional arena since 2010. Being a member of Fnatic since 2011 till 2014, he managed to become a champion of IEM Season VI — Global Challenge New York, LCS Europe Season 3 Spring, Season 3 EU LCS Summer and 2014 EU LCS Spring. At the end of 2014, he decided to create his own team and named it Origen. Playing for his team, xPeke became a semifinalist of World Championships 2015. Currently, xPeke is the owner of his own team and its manager. Except for that, Enrique participates in All-Star matches. League of Legends Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2017 will take place in Katowice, Poland, and will be hosted by Spodek Arena. In the upcoming event, 8 teams will participate. Among the participants, there is a champion of IEM Oakland — Unicorns of Love, a champion of IEM Gyeonggi — Samsung Galaxy, and other champions of various regional tournaments in different divisions: America, Europe, China and South Korea — Cloud9, H2k-Gaming, EDward Gaming, SK Telecom T1. Also, M19 managed to become a participant of the event due to the WildCard. Gillette is not the only international company that decided to invest in esports in 2017. Previously, transnational American company VISA signed a partnership with two-times champion of Valve majors – SK Gaming. Also, German company Audi became the partner of Astralis before they won The ELEAGUE Major 2017.
