The new contract that T1 signed with Faker will be valid until November 15, 2021.
Last season, the team together with Faker were able to win the spring and summer splits in the Korean league. This year, T1 successfully passed the 2019 World Champions T1 and made it to the semifinals. There, in a difficult battle with G2 Esports, the team was defeated with a score of 1-3.
Faker has been introducing T1 since 2014 since the club used to carry the SK Telecom T1 tag. During his time on the team, Lee Sang-yok managed to win seven splits in the Korean League and twice won first place in the World Champioship. In the second most important international tournament, the Mid-Season Invitational Korean also took the lead.
