FURIA Esports were left without the support of Edward
Former Gambit Esports player Eduard 'Edward' Abgaryan, who is at FURIA Esports as a League of Legends roster coach, said on his Twitter account that he does not want to continue cooperation with this esports club.
He announced the beginning of the search for a new organization with which he could cooperate. He did not specify what kind of position he is considering in order to cooperate with an e-sports club. Edward will consider all options for cooperation with organizations.
He did not elaborate on the reasons for leaving FURIA Esports:
Hello friends.
Next year I will not be at FURIA Esports, which means that I am looking for a new team as head coach, assistant coach or positional coach. (in any region).
I would appreciate[your retweets]and, if you're interested, drop me a line on Twitter DM.
There is an obvious hunch about Abgaryan's reluctance to work at the club with poor results. His collaboration with FURIA did not bear fruit, and as a result, the team took 10th place out of 10 possible in CBLOL Split 2. The team drew four times against such opponents as INTZ Esports, KaBuM! e-Sports, Miners.gg and Rensga Club. In all other confrontations, the Brazilian squad was defeated. It is interesting to note that along with Edward, another well-known representative of the CIS LoL scene, Danil 'Diamondprox' Reshetnikov, joined the ranks of FURIA Esports. The experiment failed and it is quite logical to expect that Diamondprox will also start looking for another club in which it will realize itself as a player.
Edward's career as a professional League of Legends player began in 2011. He managed to collaborate with such esports clubs as Team Empire, Team Curse, Moscow Five, Team ROCCAT, Vega Squadron, Unicorns of Love and of course Gambit Esports. Together with the latter, he repeatedly won various splits of the Continental League for League of Legends and earned a considerable amount of prize money with Gambit. Eduard Abgaryan's total earnings exceed $ 130,000. In January of this year, he announced that he had retired as a professional player and will continue his activities on the LoL scene as a mentor. He made his debut as a coach at FURIA Esports. Probably, next time he will be able to achieve great success, but the first pancake turned out to be lumpy - FURIA Esports took 9th and 10th places at CBLOL Split 2021 and CBLOL Split 2 2021.
