Besiktas Esports signed two League of Legends CIS players
The Turkish club Besiktas Esports announced on Twitter about the signing of two Russian-speaking League of Legends players. Alexander 'Lekcycc' Leksikov and Artyom 'Shiganari' Osintsev, who previously represented the interests of Gambit Esports, have become new players of the Turkish club.
Lekcycc and Shiganari play in support and ADC positions, respectively, and in the Besiktas Esports roster they are non-roster players. A new team will be assembled around them. The team still includes topper Barish 'Karatop' Yuyuzou and jagler Emrey 'Robin' Kurt.
The leadership of the esports organization decided to change the League of Legends roster due to the unsatisfactory results of the team. The team took the 7th place in the TCL Winter 2021 standings and, according to the results of the group stage, the team did not even manage to reach the playoffs, which does not meet the expectations of the Besiktas Esports fans.
Gambit Esports previously revealed that they have decided to close their League of Legends division. The team has already left the Continental League, but its organizers have not announced a new member yet.
