Royal Never Give Up will attend the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational without a coach
Park Kang 'Tabe' Wong, mentor of the Royal Never Give Up LoL roster, will not be able to attend the highly anticipated 2021 Mid-Season Invitational. According to the club's management, his passport has expired. It will take some time to replace the documents, which will definitely not be enough before the team moves to the venue of the championship.
Tabe will now have to return to Hong Kong, his home country. There, for people arriving from other countries, there is a mandatory 21-day quarantine. The 2021 Mid-Season Invitational starts on May 6, and therefore Tabe has no chance of recovering documents, as mentioned above. During the championship, the coach will communicate with his players online. The effectiveness of such communication will be lower than direct contact, but it is still better than nothing.
Royal Never Give Up made it to Group A along with roasters such as Unicorns of Love and Pentanet.GG. Initially, the quartet was supposed to include a team from Vietnam GAM Esports, however, due to the latter's ban on leaving the country, only three participants will compete in Group A. Instead of two teams that would have been destined to leave the competition after the group stage, only one team from Group A will complete its path in the tournament.
