SEAT signs contract with MAD Lions
MAD Lions esports club management announced on the organization 's website that it has signed a contract with SEAT. The latter will sponsor the League of Legends roster. MAD Lions owns two League of Legends rosters that participate in the LEC and SuperLiga Orange. The financial support of the Spanish carmaker will be shown in the direction of both trains.
2 years ago, MAD Lions played in the LoL European Championship under the Splyce tag, and before the start of the 2020/2021 season, the owner of the esports club, represented by OverActive Media, decided to rebrand. In each of the leagues in which the MAD Lions took part, the team completed its path to the top 4. Within the 2020 World Championship, the European team was unable to break through the Play-In and took 19-20 place in the standings.
SEAT was founded in 1950. In 1986, Volkswagen AG bought out a controlling stake (53%) from the state, and in 1990, the German joint-stock company acquired 99.99% of the shares of the Spanish automaker.
