Rumors: LCS Not Satisfied With Riot Games Policy
It looks like a riot is brewing in the American LCS. Some eminent teams in the region intend to get from Riot to cancel or simplify the company's policy regarding legionnaires.
We will announce this, journalist Travis Gafford during one of the podcasts. Apparently, the management of the clubs are already preparing an appeal to Riot.
Politics with legionnaires are not new for a long time and appeared back in 2014. According to Riot rules, League of Legends teams that participate in franchise leagues cannot have more than two representatives from other regions.
If a legionnaire spends several seasons in a "foreign" region, he automatically becomes a resident, and his slot may be occupied by another legionnaire. This approach of Riot keeps esports players from stagnating and makes them constantly seek out young talent.
However, most clubs clearly dislike this rule. It constrains the transfer opportunities of clubs.
