ANEW Esports were embroiled in a scandal and, as a result, disbanded
Recently ANEW Esports were embroiled in a scandal in which they were convicted of dishonest behavior on the part of the club's management. Eddie Lee, who played the role of the organization's CEO, was accused of dishonestly luring a forester from Wildcard Gaming into his team. He wanted William 'Trixter' Benoit to represent the colors of ANEW Esports and be able to stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
When Riot Games found out about this and Trixter's readiness to violate its agreement with Wildcard Gaming, recognized by the LCS league, they decided to close access to the competition to everyone who was involved in this situation.
As a result, both Trixter and Eddie Lee received a ban to participate in the 2021 NA Amateur Competitive Season, in connection with which representatives of the ANEW Esports club had to leave the organization and continue performing separately.
Interesting fact: phonetically, Trixter sounds the same as Trickster. What do you call the ship, so will it float?
Former ANEW Esports players will play under the ex-ANEW Esports banner, while ANEW Blaze players will continue playing under the Zoos Esports tag.
