G2 Esports introduced the updated League of Legends roster
The European esports organization G2 Esports has officially unveiled the updated League of Legends roster. The club introduced Yike, Hans Sama and Mikyx as its newcomers, who will soon begin to conquer the new season in the LEC.
With one trophy under our belt in 2022, we decided to move up a notch in 2023. It took a combination of young rookie talent and veteran experience to get back to the Worlds Finals and get another chance at 0-3. As the LEC announced there will be 3 splits this year, we can't wait to see the new roster in action and take home even more trophies.
Yike becomes the new jungler of G2 Esports. The 22-year-old Swede spent the last year with LDLC OL, with which he managed to win the LFL Spring 2022 and LFL Summer 2022, as well as top 3 at the European Masters Spring 2022, European Masters Summer 2022 and Coupe de France 2022.
Together with him, Hans sama, a former player of Team Liquid, joined the role of a botlaner. At his previous club, the 23-year-old Frenchman had no success, winning the LCS Lock-In 2022 but also failing the end of the season.
Mikyx is the latest addition to the Samurai squad. The 24-year-old Slovenian support has already played for G2 Esports from 2018 to 2022, but spent the last season with Excel Esports. However, here the esportsman took sixth place at the end of LEC Spring 2022 and LEC Summer 2022, but now he is ready to return to try his luck at Worlds once again.
The start of LEC Winter 2023 will take place very soon. Already on January 21, the teams will start their journey in the new season, going to the usual race from the renovated studio in Berlin.
