Worlds 2018 Champion Rookie Becomes Top Esports' New Mid Player
The title Chinese club Top Esports has announced additions to the roster. Organization welcomes new mid laner Song-ah "Rookie" Eui-jin-ah
The South Korean legionnaire will become the 5th player of the Chinese organization. Previously, jungler Tian and botlaner JackeyLove had their contracts expired.
TOP Esports newcomer will take the center lane, where knight played before. The latter left the TOP Esports camp in November of this year.
Song Eui-jin, 25, started his playing career in October 2013. The first major club was KT Rolster Arrows, with which Rookie took 3rd place at the Korea Regional Finals 2014 and Champions 2014 Summer in South Korea.
After gaining fame with KT Rolster Arrows, Rookie moved to Invictus Gaming where he spent 5 years. With IG, the South Korean legionnaire won the Worlds 2018, and also reached the TOP-4 at MSI 2019 and Worlds 2019.
The last club before moving to TOP Esports was Victory Five. Rookie played there all last season, finishing top 3 at LPL Spring 2022, top 5-6 at LPL Summer 2022 and 4th at LPL Regional Finals 2022.

TOP Esports will take part in LPL Spring 2023 as a franchise league resident. Before that, the team must find a replacement for Tian and JackeyLove, who left at the end of November, taking the place of the jungler and botlaner.
