Rumors: Armut will leave MAD Lions next season

According to investigative journalist Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger, MAD Lions will retire top liner services next season. 23-year-old İrfan "Armut" Tükek will leave his playing place.

You won't have to look for a replacement for the retired sololiner for a long time. The Spanish club reached an oral agreement with Kim "Chasy" Dong-hyeon.

Earlier it became known that ADC William "UNF0RGIVEN" Nieminen will leave the MAD Lions camp. The day before, the Swede announced that he would miss the next competitive season.

Potential MAD Lions roster at LEC Spring 2023

  • Chasy
  • Elyoya
  • Nisqy
  • Kaiser

Armut has been playing for MAD Lions since November 2020. Together with the Lions, the Turkish legionnaire won LEC Spring 2021 and LEC Summer 2021, and also took TOP-4 at LEC Summer 2022.

The last MAD Lions tournament of the season was Worlds 2022, held in Mexico and the United States from September 30 to November 5. There, MAD Lions, having lost a match against EG, failed to overcome the Play-In threshold and took 17-18th place, earning $38,937.

Chasy has been playing for X7 Esports since May 2022. Together with the club, he managed to take 2nd place at NLC Summer 2022.
