Rumor: Summit will join FunPlus Phoenix
Insider information appeared on the LpL Fanclub Twitter account about the possible accession of Summit to the FunPlus Phoenix team. Recall that quite recently, Tei-woo 'Gori' Kim left the team, who continued his career in the PSG Talon team.
Wu-te 'Summit' Park is currently listed as a member of Cloud9. The last tournament he played in was the LCS Spring 2022. There he, along with his teammates from C9, placed 4th in the standings and received a cash reward of $20,000. Cloud9 became one of the four teams included in the prize fund distribution zone, which, by the way, amounted to $200,000. Summit's career began in 2017 under the Afreeca Freecs tag. Later, he continued his way to SANDBOX Gaming, and then became a Cloud9 player. Over the course of his career, the Korean has earned almost $20,000 in prize money. His most solid achievements are 4th place at LCK Summer 2019 ($16,575), 5th place at LCK Spring 2019 ($13,148), 2nd place at KeSPA Cup 2019 ($17,302) and 4th place at LCS Spring 2022 ($20,000).
Representatives of FunPlus Phoenix have not yet commented on this information, however, it is likely that such a transfer of an esportsman to the ranks of the Chinese team may take place. FunPlus Phoenix, by the way, already has one Korean esports player. Tae-min 'Clid' Kim plays the role of the forest ranger.
