Goden Guardians say goodbye to Tony Top
The leadership of the American esports organization Golden Guardians announced on the club's Twitter account and other media about the departure of Zheng 'Tony Top' Feng, who played in the Golden Guardians Academy as a top lane player as a substitute player. The management acknowledges that the cooperation was short-lived, but useful and wished the Chinese e-sportsman success in the future.
Zheng Feng joined the team on November 29 last year. During six months of cooperation, Golden Guardians Academy managed to play in LCS Academy League Spring 2022 and LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2022. In the qualifiers for LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2022, the team took 2nd place, which allowed them to earn $3,125. The path of the team directly in the LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2022 itself ended on the 3rd line, with which the roster was able to earn a cash reward of $15,000.
With the departure of Tony Top, the roster will be left with one substitute, Tommy 'Ryoma' Le, who plays in the mid lane.
Zheng 'Tony Top' Feng began his professional League of Legends career in October 2018 with Team Clarity. Later, he performed under the banners of Mirage Esports, First Blood Crusade, Evil Geniuses Academy and Golden Guardians Academy. Although the Chinese player failed to achieve victories, he won prizes in the following events:
