Teams from China may miss Mid-Season Invitational 2022
According to the Dexerto portal, which refers to the words of Doinb, teams from China may miss the Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The main reason is coronavirus restrictions, due to which the teams will not be able to visit South Korea.
The combination of Shanghai's lockdown policy and scheduling conflicts could mean the LPL representative for the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 will be forced to play remotely unless organizers change the format of the championship, Doinb said.
According to the LNG Esports mid player, this is the only option for Chinese teams to be able to perform at the event. The situation is complicated by the fact that after arriving back in Shanghai, the team will have to self-isolate for three weeks, and the rules of the Chinese league do not allow playing from hotel rooms. If Riot Games allows the team from China to play the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 remotely, then this will solve all the problems with organization and planning.
Note that at present, Riot Games has not commented on the status of participation of teams from the LPL at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022. At the same time, the LPL Spring 2022 playoffs will end only on April 17, which confuses the organization and planning of their travels for clubs.
Mid-Season Invitational 2022 will be held from May 10 to 29 in Busan. China will represent one team at the championship, which will be determined based on the results of the LPL Spring 2022.
