MAD Lions parted ways with Humanoid
From the side of the management of MAD Lions, there was not the most comforting news for the fans of their LoL line-up. 21-year-old Czech Marek 'Humanoid' Brazda has become a free agent. He has been part of the team since November 29, 2019. Over the two years of being in the team, the cybersportsman was able to achieve considerable success and won more than one split.
After MAD Lions signed a contract with Humanoid, the latter was not immediately able to help the team with the victory. The Czech debut in MAD Lions took place at LEC Spring 2020, where the team entered the top 3, but could not win. In the spring split of 2020, the team ranked # 3 and earned a cash reward of $ 32,574. At LEC Summer 2020, the Europeans performed even worse and took 4th place, while receiving $ 23,681. The team was able to make it to the 2020 World Championship, however, according to the tradition that had already developed then, the team did not expect the most consoling results, and as a result, the roster took 19-20 place in the League of Legends World Championship.
After the unsuccessful 2020/2021 season, Humanoid was able to maintain its place in the roster and the club's management remained quite such a result, since the team reached a new level in 2021 and had a quite excellent League of Legends season. In the spring, MAD Lions won the LEC Spring 2021, beating Rogue in the final, and earned $ 95,190. At the Mid-Season Invitational 2021, the team took 3-4 place and earned $ 25,000. At LEC Summer 2021, the team won for the second time and earned $ 94,909. The final performance of MAD Lions with Humanoid was at the 2021 World Championship. The team managed to get to the playoffs, but the team stopped in the quarterfinals. For the 5th-8th place in the standings, the team received a “consolation” prize of $ 100,125.
