Big changes on the way - Riot Games is about to bring something new to League of Legends
The League of Legends developers announced that they are going to significantly redesign their game in the MOBA genre. The esports discipline will now have its own comeback system, new dragons and items will be added, and some bugs will be fixed. All innovations should appear in League of Legends after November 15.
New dragons
There are now two new dragons coming to League of Legends: Hemstack and Hextech. Killing a chemstack will give a boost in the form of additional damage to enemies, while the killer of a hextech dragon will receive 5 units of acceleration of skills and 5% attack speed per charge.
The soul of a chemstack dragon will allow heroes to respawn for a short time after their death. After the chemstack dragon is killed, four places with a cloud of gas will appear on the map, which hide the heroes who have got there. Regular totems will not be able to reveal the presence of the players there, but the methods of dealing with invisible heroes in this case will help.
Himtech Dragon
After killing a Hextech Dragon, players will receive, along with the Dragon Soul, a unique effect that allows the release of chain lightning at their opponents with a small cooldown. In addition, the death of this dragon will give the hexwrats to appear, through which you can jump between the spheres. Preparing to use Hexgate teleportation can be knocked down in the same way as a regular teleport.

Improved comeback system
The developers will add the ability to return to the game for losing teams. If the team, which is in a losing position, can destroy one of the objects on the map, then it will receive an additional bonus, divided between five players. The bonus effect will appear 10 seconds after the corresponding signal sounds. It can spawn near bonus buildings, and as the battle continues around it, teams will be able to extend the bonus effect by 15 seconds. The maximum bonus to gold and experience can reach 60%.
Bonuses are given in the following amount:
- Baron Nashor or the Elder Dragon - 500 Gold
- Dragon or Herald of the Abyss - 500 gold
- Outer Tower - 250 Gold
- Inner Tower - 400 Gold
- Nexus Towers - 400 Gold
New items
The Leaugue of Legends store has six new hero artifacts that will be mythical and legendary. Tanks, assassins and mages will be delighted when they see new items like Crown of the Shattered Queen, Veil Veil, Giant Winter, Chakram Axiom, Twilight Flame and Herald of Winter.
New artifacts for mages include Crown of the Shattered Queen and Twilight Flame. These items provide the following improvements:
- Circlet of the Shattered Queen - +70 AP, 250 health, 600 mana and 20 units to speed up the skill. The artifact grants a shield that reduces incoming damage by 50%. The effect lasts 1.5 seconds after the damage is absorbed. While the shield is active, the power of the skill increases from 10 to 40 units, and the passive effect gives 1% to the move speed and 50 health
- Twilight Flame - +80 AP and 250 Health. When dealing damage to enemies, it gives from 10 to 20 magic penetration, depending on the HP of the target. The maximum increase can be achieved if the target previously received shields
Herald of Winter, Giant Winter, and Eternal Shroud will be for the tank heroes. The latter will be able to absorb more damage thanks to the increase in health and new bonuses:
- Herald of winter - +400 HP, 500 mana and 15 units to speed up skills. The item has two effects - "Blessing" (gives 8% of health from the maximum MP) and "Mana reservoir". After an auto attack or skill, the champion gains 3 mana. If the enemy was hit, the bonus is doubled. When 360 mana is accumulated, the artifact turns into the "Giant Winter".
- Giant winter - +400 health, 860 mana and 15 to accelerate skills. Gives the same effect to Blessing and Eternity. When an enemy is immobilized, the owner of the artifact absorbs 3% of the current mana and applies a shield that absorbs damage for 3 seconds. Its durability increases by 80% if there are several opponents around the hero.
- Eternal shroud - +200 health, 20 to speed up skills, 30 armor and 30 to magician. resistance. The Remorse effect deals 12% damage to enemies for 5 seconds. The passive effect of the "myfic" gives 5 armor and 5 magic resistance.
In addition to the above items, other already existing artifacts have undergone improvements for tanks. Frostfire Gauntlet, Chemical Jet Armor, Cosmic Accelerator, Hextech Sight, Demon's Embrace, Force of Nature, Seraph's Embrace, and Void Mask will all bring more benefits to their owners.
Assassins will have access to a new item, "Chakram Axiom". It will add 55 Attack, 10 Lethality, and 25 Haste to the Champion. Passive skill reduces the cooldown of the ultimate by 25% of the maximum timer. The effect is activated after the death of the enemy, 3 seconds after the damage is dealt.
Rune rework
- Deadly pace - adds to the attack speed for 6 seconds when each auto attack hits at least one enemy. This effect stacks up to 6 times. At maximum charges, the attack range increases, and the maximum attack speed increases to 3 units.
- Ice Build - Three beams emanate from the immobilized champion. They create a cold effect that slows enemies by 40% and reduces their damage against your allies by 15%.
- Strike ahead - when you take damage, you get 5 units of gold and the effect of the rune for 3 seconds. It grants basic attacks and abilities an additional 12% damage. You can also get 100% gold (70% for ranged champions) from this damage.
Other
- Shy Crab now has 35% less health, has a reduced model size, and grants 80% less experience. The developers explained this by the fact that the crab has a strong influence on the outcome of the early stage of the game, and the decrease in the model simply symbolizes the regression of this monster.
