Halo Studios Doesn’t Develop Any Campaign or Multiplayer Games for Now, and More Info on Halo’s Future Is Revealed

Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the original 2001 game, is coming out exactly one week from now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game will be available to all Premium Edition owners as early as this week (July 23), as well as the embargo on reviews will be dropped, so soon we will find out how Halo Studios' new project has been up to.

• Original roadmap for upcoming games was 3 games in 3 years beginning from the ce remake.

There were also rumors about remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 being developed, similar to Campaign Evolved. However, as mentioned in Rebs Gaming’s report, “There’s internal uncertainty whether Halo 2 and 3 remakes will be made.” Most likely, the probability of their release will depend mainly on Halo: Campaing Evolved's financial performance, as well as on the situation within Halo Studios and Xbox Game Studios.

Speaking of Rebs Gaming, an insider’s group recently put out some information alleging that Halo Studios management has been mistreating employees. The report claims that Pierre Hintze has been verbally abusive to developers and was directly involved in pushing out Michael Farney, who used to be Hintze's friend and was in charge of development for Halo: Campaign Evolved before being demoted and fired. In a post on X, Rebs Gaming personally addressed Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, sharing a link to a detailed exposé revealing all the details not only about Pierre Hintze's behavior but also about other developers at Halo Studios.

Halo: Campaign Evolved—a remake of the original 2001 game—will release on July 28. Additionally, there have been reports that the rights to the game series might be transferred to Activision as part of Microsoft's restructuring efforts; however, this transfer has not taken place so far.
