iGotUrPistola released from contract with OpTic Gaming
North American esports organization OpTic Gaming has announced the end of its contract with iGotUrPistola. Recall that the 29-year-old American has not played for the team since February, as he was transferred to inactive after signing FormaL.
A true legend in Halo and beyond. Thanks iGotUrPistola. We look forward to seeing what you add to your historical career.
iGotUrPistola started his Halo esports career back in 2014 when he joined OpTic Gaming. Since then, the 29-year-old American has changed several teams, including joining Team Envy twice. Ironically, the esportsman returned to the Team Envy camp at the end of 2020 to become part of OpTic Gaming 12 months later after the merger of the two clubs.
Together with the team, the American managed to win HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 1 and HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 2, as well as reach the finals at Esports Arena: Series E - Invitational, HCS 2021-22 North America Pro Series 2, HCS 2021-22 North America Pro Series 3 and Halo Championship Series 2022: North America Regionals.
However, in February, the 29-year-old player left the starting roster of OpTic Gaming, after which he did not appear on the stage. In turn, the North American club signed FormaL, with whom they later became the main driving force in their region.
The next championship for OpTic Gaming will be Halo Championship Series 2022: Orlando, which will take place at the end of September.
OpTic Gaming's current Halo roster is as follows:
- aPG
- Formal
- TriPPPeY
- Lucid
- Lunchbox (coach)
