Chinese giant Tencent acquires Sumo Group. The deal between the conglomerate and the British company is worth $ 1.27 billion.
If the deal goes well, the Tencent family is expected to add 14 studios owned by the Sumo Group. These include:
- Sumo Digital by Sackboy: A Big Adventure
- The Chinese Room by Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
- Pipeworks Studios, creators of the Devil May Cry HD Collection.
Tencent is Sumo Group's second largest shareholder. The Chinese company owns 8.75% of the shares of the British gaming company.
