The recently released job listing at CD Projekt Red indicates that the company intends to bring its vision to life and develop multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077. The portal GamesRadar + reports about it, referring to the list of vacancies of the company.

Interestingly, a few months ago, the management of CD Projekt RED decided to abandon the idea of creating multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077. So, according to the head of the studio Adam Kicinsky, the company intends to add such functionality to upcoming projects, but “the next project will not be a large and independent multiplayer the game".

Nevertheless, the journalists of the GamesRadar + portal have found vacancies on the CD Projekt website for game designers who will work on the multiplayer gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077.

Since the job listing requires experience with multiplayer games, it makes sense that CD Projekt Red is looking into developing multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077 again. It might seem odd that the company is looking into plans for something as significant as adding a multiplayer mode when it is still trying to get digital copies of the game back for sale after multiple launch problems However, in the complex process of creating a modern big-budget game, such decisions must be made for years to come, and preparation for one does not exclude work on another.

The next update for Cyberpunk 2077 is also expected to be released within a few weeks, as evidenced by CD Projekt Red's latest earnings report.
