CD Projekt RED Is Not Planning to Release New DLC for Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest installment from CD Projekt RED, released back in 2020. The game also received a massive expansion three years later—DLC titled Phantom Liberty that featured a new region in Night City and was massively related to V’s alter ego, Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.
It was one and seems like the only DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, as the developers confirmed they’re not working on another expansion to 2020’s action RPG. On X social media, one of the fans has asked when the game will receive secret DLC, and the developers have revealed a new add-on is not part of the plan, as you can check out below:
“When secret new DLC?
We have no plans for additional DLCs or expansions. If anything changes, we will inform you all!”
This strategy seems logical for CD Projekt RED, as the studio is actively working on a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, which is confirmed to feature a new Chicago-type side alongside Night City from the original game and the multiplayer—a feature that was cut from the 2020 title. But some fans were hopeful to get yet another adventure for V, as CD Projekt RED was seemingly working on a new DLC for 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developed by Fool’s Theory, but the project hasn’t been confirmed yet.
The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have a release date and is rumored to release somewhere in 2030-2031, according to recent rumors.
