After players and game journalists greeted No Man's Sky with the utmost criticism on release day and accused the developers of lying, Hello Games began to work hard on their project and correct mistakes. The players were right, as were the journalists, but the developers did their best and now their game looks completely different.

Hello Games has not abandoned its project and continues to support it for the 4th year in a row, adding various interesting features that were not available before. This time around, they brought good news to No Man's Sky players looking to upgrade to the next generation of consoles. They published a list of improvements that will warmly welcome players who have switched to space simulator on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Patch 3.10 will delight players with the following interesting things:

  • The detailing of the worlds has become even more elaborate. All plants and stones will become even more attractive for detailed inspection. The resolution of textures will not remain without improvements, and objects will receive new polygons, significantly improving the geometry of the world. Lighting, shadows, animations, textures, and draw range will also be improved.
  • The base building will acquire several innovations. Now users will be able to build impressive structures and use more complex structures for this
  • All players moving from PlayStation 4 to PS5 and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S need not worry. Their saves can be transferred without much problem. The difference between the consoles is that the transfer process will be automated on the Xbox, but fans of Japanese consoles will have to manually transfer their save
  • The multiplayer mode will be greatly expanded. Now, not 4 players will be able to play with each other at the same time, as it was before, but 32
  • No Man's Sky will have a cross-platform system
  • The overall picture quality will receive a significant improvement. On next-gen consoles, the game will run in 4K mode and will deliver a frame rate of 60 FPS. Owners of the Xbox Series S console, which is inferior to the Xbox Series X in terms of technical characteristics, will be able to choose between 30 FPS and the image in 4K or Full HD mode with a frame rate of 60 FPS
  • The PlayStation 5 version will receive a tactile feedback system on the DualShock 5 controller, as well as 3D sound and support for VR glasses
  • The download speed will increase significantly. If the developers do not lie, then the consoles will need 10 times less time for this.

A new patch for No Man's Sky will be released alongside the release of new consoles. Owners of the purchased game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series One will receive upgrades for free. It is also important that, in fact, it is logical that most of the above will become available on personal computers as well.
