Retired Blizzard Vice Presidents to Develope Board Games

Chris Metzen and Mike Gilmartin revealed on Twitter that they will be developing board games after leaving Blizzard. They opened the Warchief Gaming studio. Previously, Chris Metzen was senior vice president, while Mike Gilmartin was vice president of product quality control.

Warchief Gaming includes not only the duo of Blizzard vice presidents, but also Hearthstone game designer Ryan Collins. At the moment, nothing is known about the plans of the new development studio.

Chris Metzen and Mike Gilmartin aren't the only ex-Blizzard employees to start their game development studio. Earlier it was revealed that Tim Morten and Tim Campbell are also game studio Frost Giant Studios. Their difference from Warchief Gaming lies in the craving for the RTS genre, in which Morten and Campbell will realize themselves.
