Rumor: Activision Blizzard will conduct a "big employee purge"
According to available information from the publication MCV/DEVELOP Activision Blizzard wants to lay off 100 employees who were involved in promoting games in the Asian region. Instead, their responsibilities will fall on outsourced employees. According to MCV/DEVELOP employees, Activision management considers working with the gamer community in vain, and the best advertising for games is their quality. According to this portal, Activision Blizzard would rather "spend a few million on Beyoncé's tweet about a new game than hire a team of good employees."
Such information does not cause much skepticism, given the dismissal of 775 employees from Activision Blizzard last year. The situation developed in a similar way, since mostly people who were not engaged in the development of games, but in work with the community, e-sports, and others, were left without work.
Activision Blizzard recently reported to its investors on the results of the third quarter of 2020. According to the reports, the results were stunning and exceeded all expectations.
