Rumor: GeForce RTX 3060 will have more memory than GeForce RTX 3070
According to IT Home representatives, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will have more memory than its "big brothers". The RTX 3060 will receive 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on board, while the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 will have 10 GB and 8 GB respectively.
The memory bus differs, by the way, only in the GeForce RTX 3080, namely 320 bits, while the younger models have 256 bits each. IT Home reports that NVIDIA may release the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, which will have 10GB and 320-bit bus. The only difference from the RTX 3080 will be the weaker GPU. The family of video cards based on the Ampere architecture will also join the RTX 3050 Ti, a device that differs from the RTX 3060 only in the amount of memory, cut in half.
IT Home did not provide any approximate dates regarding the likely release of the graphics cards. According to the data, the presentation of the video cards may take place as part of CES 2021, an event that will take place in January.
