Capcom Is Rumored to Show Resident Evil Veronica at The Game Awards 2026

This summer, Capcom announced a new (sort of) Resident Evil title called Veronica—a remake of the original 2000 game known as Code Veronica. Unfortunately, aside from the debut teaser shown at Summer Game Fest, we haven’t seen anything else, but that could change next month.

Speculation has surfaced on social media that Capcom will bring Resident Evil Veronica to The Game Awards, taking place next month. This was reported by the well-known insider malik; he also cites other reports stating that the studio has updated the banner on its YouTube channel, which now features artwork for Resident Evil Veronica instead of Resident Evil Requiem—a move that may indicate Capcom has launched a marketing campaign for the upcoming remake.

A new software tag (RE_CVR_ST_02) and updated cover art have sparked rumors that a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake teaser may be revealed at The Game Awards.

Capcom previously confirmed that Resident Evil Veronica is scheduled for release in 2027, but the exact release window remains unknown. Initially, the game was expected to launch in the first half of the year, but recent rumors have suggested a delay until the autumn of that same year.
