Apex Legends Is Getting a Godzilla Collaboration

Respawn Entertainment has announced an Apex Legends collaboration with the Godzilla franchise. The themed event runs from November 10 to December 1. During that time, players can face Godzilla on Storm Point and unlock Legend skins inspired by famous kaiju.

The centerpiece of the event is a limited-time Wildcard mode on Storm Point, where some locations will be destroyed. During a match, Godzilla will target certain zones on the map and, after a countdown, hit them with its Atomic Heat Ray. You can’t defeat the kaiju, so it’s best to get out of the danger zones in time. A Care Package will drop into the attack zone with a special version of the Devotion that fires a beam and tracks enemies it hits.

The collaboration adds ten Legend skins based on different versions of Godzilla and other kaiju:

• Valkyrie: Mothra 2003
• Wraith: Godzilla 2016
• Pathfinder: Mechagodzilla 1974
• Mad Maggie: Destoroyah
• Loba: SpaceGodzilla
• Horizon: Godzilla 1995
• Revenant: Super Mechagodzilla 1993
• Catalyst: Ghidorah 1991
• Octane: Jet Jaguar

There will also be nine Legendary weapon skins, including ones for the Devotion, Hemlok, Wingman, and Sentinel. Godzilla Event Packs can drop the Dorsal Dagger, a universal Mythic melee weapon that every Legend can use.

On the free track of the event pass, players can earn the Jet Jaguar skin for Octane, Godzilla Event Packs, badges, Crafting Metals, and XP. The premium track costs 950 Apex Coins and includes the Ghidorah 1991 skin for Catalyst, a Legendary Prowler skin, and other rewards.

On top of that, Twitch Drops will run from November 10 to 17. Viewers watching streams with Drops enabled will get the Chibi Charmzilla weapon charm after 30 minutes and a tracker set after an hour. The collaboration is timed to the release of the new film Godzilla Minus Zero.
